Tara began coming to the coffee shop as a customer with her child, where they always spent happy moments together. She fell in love with The Bean Coffee Roaster cafe and in 2017 bought it to continue its tradition of being a special place for everyone to enjoy.
Tara successfully runs the coffee business while looking for new ideas, flavors, and coffee products that will make The Bean the best coffee shop in Cheshire, CT.
Being a local business, Tara knows how important and valuable it is to support other local businesses which is why all of her coffee beans are purchased from fair trade suppliers around the world. Fair trade coffee beans meet certain sustainability and labor standards.
Tara also believes in supporting local businesses in Connecticut by offering their products in the coffee shop for sale.
The coffee shop has soon become a haven for not only for the regular customers that can’t miss their favorite coffee every day, but for all of us who want to have a truly artisan and locally roasted coffee bean.
Tara and her husband, John Miller, also have a successful local restaurant in Cheshire that they run together called “CJ Sparrow Pub & Eatery”, where you can find delicious sandwiches, burgers, and snacks.
